Narth Run told to lose 'great' title by Great North Run

Organisers of a charity fun run in Monmouthshire have been told to take the word "great" out of its title.

A solicitor's letter from the organisers of the larger Great North Run in Newcastle informed the Narth race it was infringing its trademark.

The race, which was set up in 2013 to raise money for the Narth village hall, is now the Narth Run.

David Hart from the Great Run Company said the letter "did seem rather heavy handed" and that the company had made a donation.
