UK government to 'approach Brexit properly'

The UK government would have been criticised for not engaging with devolved governments if it had stated a certain position on Brexit, Welsh Secretary Alun Cairns has said.

He was responding to criticism from First Minister Carwyn Jones that the UK government's position was uncertain following a meeting on Monday.

Mr Cairns was among top politicians from across the UK - including leaders from the devolved administrations - that took part in the Joint Ministerial Council at Downing Street.
