Angela Eagle backed as Labour leader by Stephen Kinnock
Aberavon MP Stephen Kinnock has welcomed a bid by Angela Eagle to unseat Jeremy Corbyn as Labour leader.
The former shadow business secretary said she wanted to bring the party and the country "back together".
Mr Corbyn has refused to step down since losing the support of most of his MPs in a vote of no confidence, claiming he still enjoys the backing of ordinary party members who elected him in September.
Mr Kinnock said if Ms Eagle became leader, Labour would have a "real opportunity" to expose the "hypocrisy and incompetence" of the Conservative UK government.
