Leave the tribalism to one side, says Lib Dem Williams

Liberal Democrat AM Kirsty Williams has been named education secretary in Carwyn Jones's new Welsh Government.

Ms Williams, the sole remaining Liberal Democrat AM, was the only non-Labour member to back Mr Jones in a tied vote for first minister that delayed his appointment for a week.

Her appointment to the cabinet is subject to ratification by Lib Dem members at a special conference in Newtown, Powys, on Saturday.

She told BBC Wales people wanted politicians to put party "tribalism" to one side and work together to provide "great public services".
