Carwyn Jones 'sorry' for RIFW land sale scandal

The first minister has apologised to AMs after a report said taxpayers had lost tens of millions of pounds over the sale of publicly-owned land.

A public accounts committee report found weaknesses in government oversight of the Regeneration Investment Fund for Wales (RIFW).

A firm which bought 15 sites for £21m had made £19m profit by selling just some of them, it said.

During First Minister's Questions on Tuesday, Carwyn Jones told AMs the concept of RIFW was good but he admitted the delivery was "flawed".
