Steel industry in Wales has a future, Carwyn Jones says

Steel making has a future in Wales if the industry is given a level playing field, the first minister has said.

The call came as a task force was beginning work to soften the blow of 750 job losses at the Tata plant in Port Talbot.

Carwyn Jones told BBC Breakfast all efforts would be made to retrain and find new jobs for workers affected.

He said he had no doubt that the UK steel industry could be saved if action was taken to tackle the "unique" problems it faced.
