Syria air strikes: MPs abused for views, Chris Bryant says

MPs are receiving abuse for their views on air strikes on Syria, whether for or against military action, a leading Labour spokesman has said.

Rhondda MP Chris Bryant, shadow leader of the house, said opponents of air strikes against Islamic State militants had been branded as "peaceniks" and "terrorist sympathisers".

Those who supported military action had been sent distressing images of dead babies and severed head, he added, calling for a review of security for MPs' homes and offices.
