Denbighshire school's first for reading patron

A primary school in Denbighshire has become the first in the UK to appoint an author as its Patron of Reading.

Helena Pierre-Le-Hatty regularly visits Ysgol Esgob Morgan in St Asaph to read to pupils and keep track of their own progress as readers.

The scheme has been so successful that other schools now want to appoint their own patrons.

Matthew Richards reports.
