FGM survivor describes witnessing her sister being cut

More than 200 million women and girls alive have undergone female genital mutilation or cutting.

One mother-of-three, an asylum seeker in Swansea, is among them.

She wants to protect her two daughters from the practice.

Here, she describes witnessing the practice carried out on her younger sister - then aged seven years old - in Nigeria.

Names have been withheld to protect her children.
