Families should know of serious re-offending review findings

The families of victims of criminals who commit serious crimes after being released from prison have a right to know the findings of inquiries into their cases, a family has said.

It follows a review into the murder of Rhys Jones who was killed by a man released only five days earlier.

It questioned whether his killer's risk to the public should have been reassessed after his release.

Mr Jones' father Daryl said families have a right to know what happened to their loved ones when they are victims of serious crimes.
