Plan to release beavers back into Wales after almost 500 years

Beavers could be reintroduced to Wales after an absence of centuries.

The trial in an undisclosed location in southern Wales could begin this year.

But farmers' leaders are "concerned" about the plan as they are worried about potential damage to land and crops.

National Resources Wales said it would have to consider the impact on existing wildlife and land use.
