Actor Rhys Ifans ambassador of homeless charity Shelter

Shelter Cymru deals with 350 calls a month from homeless families - a figure the charity's new ambassador, actor Rhys Ifans, has called "breathtaking".

The charity said 1,100 children are homeless in Wales this Christmas.

The Twin Towns actor called it an "upsetting" figure which made him "angry and ashamed".

"Every child should have a sense that there's someone safe in the world," he told BBC Wales.
