Stranded Anglesey turtle continues to improve

A rare turtle found washed-up on a shore on Anglesey is growing stronger by the day, marine experts have said.

The animal, nicknamed Menai, was discovered at Tan-y-Foel close to Anglesey Sea Zoo in November.

The zoo said it was the first time an Olive Ridley turtle had been spotted in the UK.

Staff took Menai to a vet and said she was progressing to the next stage of its recovery - after being transferred to a larger tank.
