Port Talbot residents positive over steel future

The steelworks casts a large shadow over the town of Port Talbot - and a commitment announced Wednesday should ensure it remains its main employer for at least five more years.

Talks held between Tata Steel and unions were described as "an important step forward" for its future in the UK.

Almost 7,000 people are employed by the company across Wales, including more than 4,000 in Port Talbot.

While some local people and businessmen feel confident after the talks, others believe only time will tell if the site has a positive future.

Ben Price reports.
