Wrexham's Grove Park School listed status reinstated

A decision to strip a former Wrexham school of its listed status so it could be demolished has been reversed by the Welsh Government.

Grove Park School, built as a girl's grammar just before World War Two, was Grade II listed in August but Wrexham council won a High Court challenge.

Now, the building has been relisted on the grounds of "special architectural interest".

Roger Pinney reports.
