Day-to-day Welsh news 'hard to cover on BBC network'

The BBC has shown "slower progress" in the amount of stories from Wales featured on its network news programmes compared to those from the other UK nations, BBC Wales' trustee has said.

The BBC said editors from the nations regularly discussed stories together.

Elan Closs Stephens, BBC Trust's national trustee for Wales, said the report was generally encouraging.
