Solva Care project 'makes a difference', says volunteer

Villagers in Pembrokeshire who started a project to look after elderly people in their community have said the service is at risk unless it can secure fresh funding.

The Solva Care project, which was officially launched in October last year, helps about 40 elderly people in the village.

It matches people who need support to 30 volunteers who provide it.

The project has received almost £77,000 in grants which runs out in March.

Volunteer and retired vet Moira Johnston said it makes "such a difference by just doing small things".
