Aberystwyth storm: Caravans 'hurtled' towards park boss

The director of an Aberystwyth caravan park has described his "lucky escape" as high winds ripped through the site.

Thomas Scarrott, who runs the Clarach Bay Holiday Village, said about 20 caravans were upended and overturned by what he described as a tornado.

Others had their roofs ripped off.

Mr Scarrott said he had to run for cover as the wind got up without warning.
