'Work together' to protect marine life - WWF UK

New research into the "Celtic seas" says if industry works together it can minimise the impact on sea life, such as dolphins and porpoises.

The report looked ahead at the likely use of the seas off Wales, Scotland, Ireland and western France over the next 20 years by shipping, fishing, dredging and energy firms.

Dr Jenny Oates, Celtic Seas project manager for WWF UK, said there was potential for great economic growth.

But she told BBC Wales environment correspondent Steffan Messenger the marine environment also needed to be protected.
