Bridgend shoppers on town centre traffic access plan

Traffic could be reintroduced to pedestrianised areas of Bridgend town centre to provide better access and boost trade.

The council wants to reopen Queen Street, Dunraven Place and Market Street to increase footfall.

It is also hoped the planned changes will improve car access to the town for people with mobility problems.

Bridgend council's cabinet member for regeneration, Charles Smith, said the planned changes would improve access, while shoppers gave their views on the proposals.
