Army chief's 'heart goes out' to family of dead soldier

The head of the Army has said his "heart goes out" to the family of a soldier who died during training in Brecon.

Cpl Joshua Hoole, 26, of Ecclefechan, near Lockerbie, who was serving in the Rifles regiment at ITC Catterick, died during pre-course training for the Platoon Sergeants' Battle Course.

General Sir Nick Carter said: "We will understand what happened soon."
