Child abuse inquiry backed by new review

An inquiry into child abuse in care homes in North Wales - that was accused of exposing only a fraction of the abuse carried out - has been cleared by a new review.

Lady Justice Macur said there was "no evidence" of abuse by establishment figures, nor of a paedophile ring.

She also found that the Welsh Office had not sought to protect individuals.

Hywel Griffith reports.
