Rock star Pete Ham: 'I know a way out' before 1975 suicide

'I know a way out', were some of the last words of rock star Pete Ham before he took his life.

He had met Badfinger band mate Tommy Evans the night before committing suicide in 1975 to talk about their money worries.

Bob Jackson, who played with the Swansea group, said he was "pushed him over the edge" after their manager told him there was no money left.

Ham's girlfriend Anne and Tommy Evans' wife Marianne talk about his death for a BBC Week In Week Out programme that aired in 1987.

Bob Humphrys reports.
