COP21: Carl Sargeant defends Wales emissions ambition

Natural Resources Minister Carl Sargeant has denied claims the Welsh government is not ambitious enough to reduce emissions.

Mr Sargeant, in Paris for the UN Climate Conference, said he was "confident" the goal was achievable within four years.

Since the target was set in 2010, based on levels in 1990, emissions in Wales have fallen by less than 12%.

He told BBC Wales environment correspondent Iolo ap Dafydd he did not believe the government was failing.
