Robert Mansfield's aunt backs coroner's pond action call

The aunt of a man who drowned at a Pembrokeshire pond has welcomed a coroner's call for safety issues to be addressed.

Susan Mansfield was speaking after an inquest into the death of Robert Mansfield who was the third person to drown this year at the Mill Pond, Pembroke.

Pembrokeshire coroner Mark Layton said while Mr Mansfield's death was accidental, he had concerns about safety issues such as fencing, lighting and floatation devices at the pond which he would raise with the county council.

Pembrokeshire council has said it will carry out improvements.
