Wales weekend 'be prepared' weather warning

An amber "be prepared" warning for heavy and persistent rain across north Wales has been issued for the weekend.

The Met Office said up to 15cm (6ins) of rain could fall in exposed parts of north Wales, with flooding from rivers and standing water possible.

The warning is for Gwynedd, Conwy and Denbighshire on Saturday and Sunday.

A yellow "be ready" warning is in place for Ceredigion, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Anglesey, Powys and Wrexham.
