Digital reconstruction shows Holt Castle's past
A digital reconstruction of a dilapidated medieval castle in Wrexham shows what it would have looked like and how it would have been used 600 years ago.
Holt Castle was built in the late 13th Century, but was used as a stone quarry from the mid 17th Century after it was abandoned.
Now, experts from the Castle Studies Trust have used information from excavations, inventories and old drawings to create a video fly-through revealing what the castle was like at its prime in the late 15th Century.
Project leader Rick Turner said it had been "great fun trying to solve the disappearance of this once famous castle".
