World record set at Blaenau Ffestiniog

The world record for the highest number of vertical drops on four-wheeled bikes in 24 hours has been set in north Wales.

The challenge was achieved by four riders - including Paralympian Brian Roberts - for Project Enduro at Blaenau Ffestiniog, Gwynedd, on 18 June.

Their initial goal was to descend 33,000ft (10,000m) in a day but they surpassed that by descending about 85,000ft (26,000m).

All money raised for the challenge will be donated to a disability charity in Wales.
