Royal Glamorgan doctor returns to cyclone-hit Vanuatu to help

A consultant from a Rhondda Cynon Taf hospital said that he is looking forward to flying out to his homeland Vanuatu to help support doctors in the aftermath of Cyclone Pam.

Dr Les Ala from Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantrisant will fly out on Wednesday and is expected to stay for three weeks.

Cyclone Pam tore through the South Pacific archipelago killing 17 people and displacing thousands.

BBC Radio Wales reporter Colette Hume began by asking him how if felt to see images of his homeland destroyed by the cyclone.
