April Jones murder: 'House of evil' to be demolished

A cottage dubbed the "house of evil" where Mark Bridger is believed to have murdered April Jones two years ago is being prepared for demolition.

Bridger was sentenced to a whole-life term last year for killing the five-year-old from Machynlleth. He is believed to have dismembered her body at the house in Ceinws, Powys.

Her remains have never been found. Bridger claimed he knocked her over and forgot where he put her body.

Scaffolding and fences have been put up around the house and roof tiles are being removed in preparation for the demolition, which will start next Monday.

Councillor Michael Williams said the house was 'a constant reminder of an act of evil'.
