Welsh bus costs 'could force poorest pupils out of education'

Pupils from deprived backgrounds could be forced to give up their education because of new and increased transport costs for sixth form students, a charity says.

Research for BBC Wales shows a third of Welsh councils are charging up to £418 a year.

The People and Work Unit, which helps disadvantaged youngsters get academic qualifications, said the charges could result in some children dropping out of school.
