Fire crews tackle Pontyclun recycling blaze

Up to 50 firefighters have been tackling a blaze at a recycling centre in Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Emergency services were called to Celtic Waste Management Services Ltd on Coedcae Lane, Pontyclun, at 04:30 BST on Tuesday.

At one stage, crews from 11 stations were in attendance.

South Wales fire service said the incident was being scaled down although three fire crews, a water bowser and a hose-laying vehicle were expected to remain for some time.
