Inquest into Timothy Cowen's death 'to give closure'
The brother of a disabled man who died after a routine operation said an inquest into his death would give the family closure.
Timothy Cowen, 51, of Caergwrle, Flintshire, died last May after gall bladder surgery.
An independent post mortem examination concluded the initial cause of his death was incorrect.
An inquest can now take place, almost a year after Mr Cowen died, following the conclusion of an internal inquiry by Betsi Cadwaldr University Health Board.
The health board has previously apologised for the investigation's delay and for not keeping the family updated.
His brother Philip Cowen welcomed the news that the inquest can take place.
