Steroid 'abuse' of Wedinos drug testing service denied

Claims that steroid dealers are exploiting a publicly-funded drug testing service have been denied.

BBC Wales has found websites where bodybuilders discuss using the Welsh Emerging Drugs and Identification of Novel Substances Project (Wedinos).

One contributor said his dealer planned to test his products via the scheme.

The Welsh government insisted the service was not being exploited and that free access to Wedinos was vital.
