South Wales Fire and Rescue Service tackles 115 fires in four days

In the last four days South Wales Fire and Rescue Service has dealt with 115 fires, and all but three were arson.

Fire chiefs said lives were being put at risk and resources wasted.

The latest fire which stretched six miles (10km) near Merthyr Tydfil has now burnt out.

More than 20 firefighters dealing with that fire had to withdraw to safety because of the risk to their lives.

Caroline Evans reports.
