50 years of BBC Wales TV

This weekend marks the 50th anniversary of the launch of the BBC Wales television service.

Until it went on air in 1964, Wales had to share a local service with the west of England.

The launch of BBC Wales gave more scope for drama, entertainment and current affairs in both English and Welsh.

BBC Wales arts and media correspondent Huw Thomas reports.
