Michael Laudrup sacking: Supporters' trust surprise at timing

The chair of Swansea City Supporters' Trust has given his reaction to the sudden departure of manager Michael Laudrup after he was sacked by the club.

Phil Sumbler told BBC Radio Wales there had been an element of surprise and disappointment coming just four days before Swansea's derby with fierce rivals Cardiff City.

However, he added: "The key to any club is the players and the management have to be completely united.

"If he's lost the dressing room, for 99 out of 100 football managers, there is just never going to be a way of coming back from that."

He was speaking to Mai Davies.
