Daily Post milestone: Paper hits 50,000th edition

The regional daily paper serving north Wales - the Daily Post - has marked its 50,000th edition.

As one of the first every penny newspapers, it has been covering the headlines since 1855 - when it was first published as the Liverpool Daily Post.

Now almost 160-years later, it is a stand-alone paper serving both north-east and north-west Wales.

George Herd takes a look back at the history of the paper - and what it means to some of those who have worked on the Post over the decades.
