Miners' strike: Thatcher wanted troops to move coal

Documents released by the National Archives reveal that Margaret Thatcher secretly considered using the army to break the looming miners' strike.

The UK government papers from 1983 reveal the extent of the planning by the Conservative government for the showdown with the miners.

In 1984, miners across Wales and the rest of Britain went on strike against threatened pit closures. BBC Wales Today's Carwyn Jones reports.
