Paramount Foods job losses: Pizza firm was in 'competitive market'
Production is to cease at a pizza factory in Flintshire next week with the loss of 200 jobs, say union chiefs.
Nearly 120 people have already lost their jobs at Paramount Foods on the Deeside Industrial Park after the firm went into administration last month.
But a deal to sell the firm has now fallen through.
The workforce was told by the joint administrators Duff and Phelps that production would end on 30 November, according to the GMB union.
Dr Jan Green, a senior lecturer at Glyndwr University Wrexham, says the food market is "competitive", with price rises in recent years.
