Snowplough battles to clear Glasgow streets

A snowplough was clearing streets near Glasgow city centre on Thursday morning following several inches of fallen snow.

Scotland's biggest city was noticeably empty of both cars and people as Police Scotland advised that no one travel during the Met Office's red weather warning.

Snow is expected to continue throughout Thursday with the red alert in force until 10:00.
