A horse that modelled for The Kelpies sculpture dies

A Clydesdale horse which was one of the models for The Kelpies sculpture has died, aged 19.

Baron was one of two horses to inspire artist Andy Scott when he began work on the project.

The horse was rescued by an animal charity and later rehomed by Glasgow City Council,

He got to see his likeness during the official opening of the world's largest equine sculpture in 2015.
