Researchers develop calculator for fertility treatment success rate

A new more accurate method of predicting a couple's chances of having a baby through fertility treatment has been developed by Aberdeen University.

From next year, the number of IVF cycles women in Scotland can have funded by the NHS will rise from two to three.

Researchers hope that the online calculator will give patients and doctors a more realistic picture of whether treatments will be successful.
