Rangers fan injured in bottle attack leads team onto pitch

A young Rangers fan who was injured in a bottle attack on his way to Sunday's League Cup match led his team onto the pitch at Ibrox on Wednesday evening.

Kraig Mackay suffered a cut to his head after being hit by a bottle as he made his way to the semi-final game against Celtic.

Police Scotland described it as an "abhorrent" attack.

The 11-year-old was a guest of honour at Rangers' home game against St Johnstone in which the teams drew 1-1.
