Family 'saddened' by state of Scotland's mortuaries

Relatives of a Moray man whose body was placed in what they described as a "derelict" mortuary say they have been saddened to learn of others having a similar experience.

The family of Frank Whyte, who died in May, have launched a campaign to have mortuaries across Scotland inspected after being left horrified by what they found at the Spynie facility in Elgin.

MSPs in Holyrood are set to debate the standards of care and practice in mortuaries across Scotland.

Mr Whyte's daughter, Natalie, told BBC Scotland's Jackie O'Brien that her family's experience was horrendous.
