Rail firm committed to the Far North Line

The operators of train services north of Inverness have given assurances over the future of the Far North Line.

Campaigners had voiced concerns that the route could be under threat after critics said poor reliability had led to a reduction in passenger numbers.

ScotRail Alliance say they have invested millions in rolling stock and infrastructure to secure the future of the route.
