Regeneration hopes in 'passionate Borders town' of Hawick

Four areas in Scotland have been selected to benefit from a new funding programme designed to stimulate growth after Brexit.

The Scottish government has allocated £10m to the new Local Economic Development fund with the bulk of the money going to the Borders town of Hawick.

When the financial crisis began in 2008, Hawick was quickly hit by job losses and factory closures. Like so many other towns across the country, its high street has suffered ever since.

Cameron Buttle went to Hawick to see where the money is needed.
