Explorer inspires new links between Maasai people and Thornhill

A Victorian Scottish explorer who inspired the tale of King Solomon's Mines is forging new links between the Maasai people and his homeland.

Joseph Thomson is relatively unknown in Scotland and yet has an African waterfall and a species of gazelle named after him.

BBC Scotland's Willie Johnston reports from Thornhill.
