Jamie Murray: Tennis centre would be a legacy

Tennis star Jamie Murray has urged Scottish ministers to back his mother's plans for a tennis centre near Dunblane.

Speaking after winning the US Open doubles title with Brazil's Bruno Soares, he said it would provide a legacy after his and brother Andy's success.

The planned development on green belt land includes a 12-court tennis venue, golfing facilities, a hotel and spa, and 19 luxury homes.

It had been rejected by the local planning authority which received more than 1,000 objections - but the developers have appealed to the Scottish government.
