Brian McKandie murder in £10,000 Crimewatch Roadshow appeal

Crimestoppers has offered a reward of up to £10,000 for information which may lead to the arrest and conviction for the person or persons responsible for the murder of an Aberdeenshire man.

Brian McKandie was found beaten to death with a "heavy weapon" in his home in Rothienorman on Saturday, 12 March.

Police believe he may have known his killer and DCI Iain Smith described two individuals and a vehicle that police are trying to trace.

One of the men has been described as 30 to 50 years old, of a heavy build. The other is thought to be about 20 to 30 years old and much thinner.

The burgundy coloured estate-type car may have had a rear passenger side panel of a different shade.

Mr McKandie's brother William had previously made an appeal which was also shown during the BBC's Crimewatch Roadshow programme.
